you have lost some property in a "Hackney Cab or Private Hire Vehicle"
on Merseyside you should first make enquiries at the location you think you lost
it, (for example, at the taxi firm ). You can then report the loss by visiting
a police station or by phoning 0151 777 4861 or 4862 or 4888 between 9am and 4pm
Monday to Friday. Merseyside Police keep a record of all property handed in
at police stations. If there is any form of identification with the property,
such as a bank card or driving licence, or if it has been marked with your postcode,
Merseyside Police will try and contact you. If your property is found and
you do not claim it within one month, the person who handed it in to the police
station can claim it. If nobody claims the property within three months it will
be disposed of. If it can be sold, it will go to public auction at Hartleys, Moss
Street, Liverpool. |
